Changes to Draws For Games Cancelled 19th/20th July PDF Print E-mail
Tue 29 Jul 2008

In accordance with the Competition Rules 13.3, Football Wagga Wagga advises the following changes to Draws in the League Competition. All draws on the Competition Pages have been updated.

Senior Games

The Senior Vice President has directed that catch-up games for the Pascoe Cup will be played as follows:

  • Wagga United vs Henwood Park: Wed 6th Aug 7:30pm at Gissing Oval
  • Tolland vs Junee: Wed 13th Aug 7:30pm at Gissing Oval
  • Lake Albert vs Cootamundra: Wed 20th Aug 7:30pm at Gissing Oval

A decision on whether catch-up games in other grades will be played may be made later, depending on whether the results could affect the teams participating in the Finals Series.

Junior Games

After reviewing the existing Draws the Junior Vice President has directed that the League Competition games cancelled on 19th July will be played in place of the games scheduled for Game 16 (ie the final game of the competition). This will ensure equity in the draw for all clubs.

Changes to Draw - Seniors, Senior Girls PDF Print E-mail
Sun 20 Jul 2008

The Draw for the remainder of the season for Senior games has been changed to rest Gissing Oval on Sundays and to assist with Referee appointments by having more games at one venue. In addition there will only be one Senior Girls game at Gissing Oval each weekend, with the exception of 2nd August, using the ground on the far side of the field. Burns Park is not available on 2nd August and the Junee vs Lake Albert game for Senior Girls will be played at Kessler Park - Lake Albert to set up and pack up the ground.

The changes are summarised below and the Competitions pages have been updated to match.

Note that the changes to the draws do not change the responsibility for ground setup and pack up: the home team for the first game of the day sets up the ground and unlocks the amenities, and the home team for the last game of the day packs up and locks amenities.
