 The Nankivell Cup is the name of our Third Grade Men's competition, and is named in honour of Jeff Nankivell for his many years of dedicated service to both Football Wagga Wagga and Wagga United Football Club.
Jeff was Senior Vice President of the Wagga Soccer Association for 8 years before taking on the role as President.
He was also on the committee of Wagga United Football Club.
Jeff was a member of the Committee which organised the Disciplinary Committee rules, and was Chairperson of this Committee for numerous years. He was also a member of the Committee for the development of Wagga Soccer Association ByLaws, Constitution and competition rules.
Not only did Jeff give his time and efforts to these Committees, he also coached and managed representative and club teams, as well as playing himself.
Jeff was a key person involved with the PCYC Committee that started summer football, which is still played each year at Maher Oval.
Jeff organised the commencement of the annual AF Masters Tournament for over 35s, which is played each year in March and October.
Jeff is a Life Member of Wagga Wagga and District Football Association. |
